"I'm so disappointed in State farm. My husband and I have been customers for 8 years and they truly have screwed us over... Again. Even Denise said it wasn't our fault, but not even Richard himself wanted to work with us. Denise said there was miscommunication between the billing department and Auto insurance, that wasn't mine and my husband's fault. We've never been late on our bills until a representative told my husband that we had a credit of $230 after we had gotten our 2013 Toyota Tacoma insured. For 3 months state farm hasn't taken out money, then hit us with a $466 Bill then threatened us that they would cancel our insurance if we don't pay it by the 21st. State farm refused over and over to go back onto their recordings because they told my husband that we had a credit. Since me and my husband have been customers for 8 years and always paid on time, you would figure that this would be something State farm would look into but they refuse to acknowledge they messed up. The first time state farm was screwing us over was when we first joined 8 years ago and Stacy kept messing up the spellings of both of our names. She kept putting each car on my insurance versus his insurance and just kept mixing our policies up and it was fluctuating our bills. To where we had to keep going back and double-checking what Stacy has done because she kept messing up our policies. So the fact that State farm refuses to take any responsibility for their employees, miscommunications and mess-ups. My husband and I are going to cancel our insurance and go with somebody else. State farm does not care about your loyalty as a customer as my husband and I witnessed that firsthand. 8 years and State farm treated us like the criminals for their own mistakes that they will not fess up to. Edit: to Richard's response: yes you guys have offered the "hardship" payment plan. It's the principle of state farm not taking responsibility for the miscommunication of your employees causing long time customers to fall into this financial situation, then you guys respond with "Oh, well! You still gotta pay!" Edit 2: finding out that my husband spoke with Richard after this saying, "you were covered this whole time so you owed me money." He also said, "if you got into an accident, you would've been covered" Richard said all this instead of fessing up to the discrepancies and the miscommunication of his employees that caused my husband and I to pay for THEIR mistakes. Edit 3: went with another state farm agent, he informed my husband and I for being long time customers with Richard, we would've gotten a rebate to help with our situation. But the fact that we were lied to and the new agent we switched to said it's not the first time Richard's customers switched over, says it all. It makes me mad that Richard disposes his long time customers, especially 8 years so easily so save a buck. Disgusting."

It wasn’t your fault that you were not billed for three months, but it is still your responsibility to pay for coverage that you were given. I told him that State Farm is willing to put a payment plan together to help you catch up. We value your business and are doing everything in our power to help you. "
